VarshaKrishi

Privacy policy

VarshaKrishi Udhyog Pvt. Ltd. (“VarshaKrishi”, “we”) provides satellite-based crop advisories to farmers in India. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it.

What we collect

What we do not do

Who can see your data

Your fields and advisories are visible to you. If you are a member of an FPO, that FPO’s administrators can see the fields registered under it. VarshaKrishi staff assisting you — for example a field executive who created your account or visits your farm — can see your profile, fields and advisory history in order to support you. Staff access is limited by role and, for most roles, by region.

Satellite imagery

Satellite observations come from public programmes (Copernicus Sentinel, NASA HLS and similar). These are wide-area images of the earth that exist independently of you; we compute statistics for the boundary you gave us. Weather and soil data come from public services queried by approximate location.

Retention

We keep your fields and advisory history for as long as your account is active, because the value of the product comes from comparing a field against its own past. Advisory records are append-only: we keep a record of what we told you and when. Raw satellite scene files are deleted after processing.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct your details, deactivate your account, or disconnect a sign-in method. Deactivating hides your profile from the platform; we retain the advisory record of what was previously sent to you. To make a request, contact us using the details on the contact page.

Children

VarshaKrishi is intended for adults operating or advising on farmland.

Changes

We will update this page when the platform changes what it collects, and will change the date at the top.
